The Bridal Entrance AKA Bride's procession

We’re all familiar with the South Asian groom’s procession, the Baraat. In the same way, the wedding aisle becomes the bride’s formal procession into the ceremony, her final walk as she transitions from Miss to Mrs. Over the years, this entrance has evolved with several trending elements: from traditional palanquins and palkis to a fabric and floral "phool ki chaadar" (canopy).

If you choose to incorporate any of these entrance props, your aisle must have a minimum of 10 feet of clear width. This accounts for floral accents that may line the aisle and ensures there is adequate room for the family members holding the structure, typically four to six people. Proper spacing is essential for both safety and aesthetics, and it ensures the moment feels intentional rather than cramped.
