We love setting Indian weddings and South Asian events in the grand ballroom at Hilton Penn's Landing. This venue is located in a beautiful section of the city, directly next to Spruce Street Park in Philadelphia, along the boardwalk. Its a wonderful space for couples entertaining their guests to explore the city, while attending their Indian wedding ceremony and reception. For Hindu Wedding Ceremonies, we prefer to keep the curtain closed in the main ballroom to allow for natural light. Setup time with a minimum of 4 hours is necessary for a complete room flip. Colorful dance floor is recommended for this type of venue. We often set a large solid backdrop for Indian weddings to block off some of the details and make the ballroom full for weddings. We love the 5 tier cake included in all bookings at the venue, and assist in this as well. The staff at Hilton Penn's landing is wonderful and very helpful to all vendors. My favorite moments at Hilton Penn's landing include previews from the larger windows of the beautiful boats. There are so many ways to lay out tables at this venue, we recommend upgrading your chairs with chiavari rentals for a luxury finished look. Tables can fit a max of 12 guests, so larger centerpieces are recommended from your Indian wedding decorator to give the table a fuller appearance along with chargers from Hilton Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, Pa.
